Course-wise Eligibility

Eligibility for Admission — B.P.Ed 2026–2027

Two Year Degree Course · Basic Intake: 100 Students (Two Sections of 50 Each)

Option A
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and at least participation in Inter-College / Inter-Zonal / District / School Competition as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.

Option B
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% of marks.

Option C
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied Physical Education as compulsory / elective.

Option D
Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and participation in National / Inter University / State Competition or 1st, 2nd, 3rd position in recognized sports events.

Important Admission Notes 2026–2027

  • Candidate must hold a degree in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized University.
  • Should not have completed 30 years of age on 1st July 2026; SC/ST get 3-year relaxation.
  • Ex-servicemen / Experienced Physical Education Teachers get 6-year relaxation.
  • Candidate must be medically fit and free from deformity.
  • Pregnant women are not permitted for admission or to undergo the course.
  • Admission is based on merit as per University / State Government policy.
  • Games skill tests will include 100mts, Shot-Put, and Long Jump.
  • Application fee is Rs.250/-; SC/ST can get the form free with community certificate.
  • All applicants must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Doctor.

Selection Process

The admission process is designed to evaluate candidates holistically. Selection is based on academic merit, physical efficiency, and performance in sports-related activities. Shortlisted candidates will undergo further verification, including document validation and fitness assessment before final admission.

He/She must be medically fit and free from any deformities students will undergo medical examination at the time of admission. (Physical Disabled, Intellectually Challenged, Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Stammering, Postural Deformities, any other Major Deformities candidates with any other deformities are not eligible to undergo this programme)
